DC3 due in late May/early June. DS is Samuel, DD is Margaret. They are Sam and Maggie for every day use :)

Our surname starts with Br and rhymes with Stick. Wink

I would really like to use Dawson in the middle. It's a really old name in our family.

The short list is:
William
Oliver
Henry
Jack

I like William best, I think. I love Will with my other DC's names. However it doesn't flow well with Dawson, I don't think. I could use Frederick in the middle, after my grandfather, or Oliver is a possible middle with William. I don't like the possibility that he could be called Bill or Billy with our surname though.

I love Jack and like it with Dawson, but I think Jack is too abrupt with our surname. We are American so it isn't as popular here.

Oliver is DH's favorite. I like it but it seems too...something! However that's what I said for Margaret and it really suits her. I love Oliver Dawson Surname.

Henry is sort of tacked on. We like it but don't really love it.

Jack Dawson is The name of Jack in titanic. However I don't think Jack goes with your surname. As both names are short. William is okay. Don't like Henry. Oliver is the nicest.

I think Billy Br is great! William Br is also good

Dawson is OK as a mn, but I agree Frederick "flows" better.

I know Lighthouse :o That's another thing stopping me but I doubt anyone would know his age.

I like William the best with the sibling names and your surname.

William with your name sounds fab. I think that with a name like yours, you need a soft name like your other DC. Jack is too harsh sounding.

how about Lawrence?

CheerfulYank · 14/03/2015 07:38

Hmm...Lawrence sounds good but I don't love it.

Maybe William Oliver is the way to go. I'd just really hoped to use Dawson. It just might not be meant to be, though! :)

Alternatively I could stick another name in there, i.e. William Oliver Dawson Surname.

However my other two only have one middle name, and more than that isn't really "done" in my area.

Add another middle name

William Oliver Dawson surname
William Frederick Dawson surname

DH is totally anti two middle names :(

I'll work on him though, I especially like William Oliver Dawson.

But is it strange as the others only have one?
