I have one ds and ttc no.2
For a boy I like Dan, for a girl I like Anna.
Should I not use Dan in case one day I have an Anna?
Danananna... see what I mean? I already ruined my other favourite girls name by naming ds something similar!

could he be Danny instead? I don't think I would've even thought about this and so wouldn't let it affect my choice.

I read the thread title and immediately thought 'That's the opening line of Duran Duran's "The Reflex" '.

Oh dear! Maybe I'll have a troupe of boys one day and never have to worry about it!

My friend has two little ones Daniel and Anna and I did wonder if one day she'll have a Danny and an Annie.

Whichever sex comes along, use that name and then next time, back to the drawing board. You might have the same sex next time anyway.

Don I love! DH not so keen. ThefITCrowd is probably right. If we're lucky enough to get no.2 we'll probably name them and take it from there.

I wouldn't let it bother me at all. You're probably one of the few people that will be saying their names together in that kind of run on way. They'll be in separate school classes, nursery classes, work environments, the rest of their life once either of them leave home. They're both lovely names, I have an Anna.
