My husband likes it for a boy. Opinions please!

Err, really only a surname because of the 'son' at the end of it.

(mind you there are Harrisons out there...)

Think it might be a wee bit confusing for the boy though, so no.

shakemysilliesout · 10/03/2015 14:37

It's ok- there are plenty of harrisons, jacksons out there. I don't mind it but I'm not a massive fan of surname first names.

duckbilled · 10/03/2015 14:38

I like it, especially shortened to Anders

ohmychrist · 10/03/2015 14:39

Awful.

It's clearly a last name. Terrible as a first name.

AnnieMoor · 10/03/2015 14:45

I like it. Like Anderson Cooper & he's very cool.

Leeds2 · 10/03/2015 14:48

Would not be my choice.

I like Anders though.

Allstoppedup · 10/03/2015 14:50

I really like it and I like Anders.

My DS has a name that is usually a surname and I love it.

KoalaDownUnder · 10/03/2015 14:50

No. I don't like the Harrison/Jackson trend as it is, and I really don't like Anderson.

Just Anders is much better.

Choccyhobnob · 10/03/2015 15:09

Makes me think of Anderson Shelter unfortunately!

TywysogesGymraeg · 10/03/2015 15:13

No. What's wrong with Andrew?

flowerygirl · 10/03/2015 15:15

Andrew is my husband's name! The surname factor doesn't bother me, I like that aspect of it. Does bother me that it's quite similar to Andrew though. Why are boy's names so much harder?!

pinkje · 10/03/2015 15:53

could be a trend though not original obviously.

Andrew's son is called Anderson.

Still think you and he may get teased because of that.

Penguinotterfoxbadger · 10/03/2015 16:01

Anders is much nicer

squoosh · 10/03/2015 16:03

I think a man called Andrew having a son called Anderson seems a teensy bit vain.

Awful, sorry.

flowerygirl · 10/03/2015 17:02

Ok hit me with your ideas PrivatePike. What's better than Anderson?

Sophronia · 10/03/2015 19:05

I prefer Anders or Andreas.

heylilbunny · 12/03/2015 21:30
