what are your thoughts on the boys name Brody?

American.

Brody is broody.

Once knew a dog called Brody.

A good Scots, name, probably of Pictish origin. I like it, but prefer the traditional spelling of Brodie.

Two baby boys siblings of friends of my children have this name. We are in the USA (West coast) which might explain it...

The other one is Bodie or Bode which is popular [sigh]

I first thought 'Homeland' but then said it my head with a Scottish accent & now I like it. A lot.

I love Brodie/Brody but in Gaelic it means 'a ditch'.

Until recently I always thought it was a girl's name because of Brody Dalle, lead singer of the Distillers.

I like it! I know of a 4yo boy Brody and an 18month old girl Brody. Prefer it for a girl actually. As a pp said I think of Brody Dalle, singer in the Distillers.
