Looking for a Z name for dc3. Came across Zuri for girl and dh and I like it but given that it's unusual I don't want to pass it by friends/family in case they try to put us off it.

I just wanted general consensus to see other people's thoughts.

Thanks x

I like it

I like Zara too btw

I like it-reminds me a little of tom cruise/Katie Holmes daughter Suri.

Patatas · 27/02/2015 20:35

I do like it but its the name of a local wine bar, so would be a no for anyone who lives in tho neck of the woods.

I like Zara and Zoe. Boys I love zeke.

Makes me think of Jessie which is a bit off putting but lots of people won't have that thought now and even less so in the future!

If you like unusual names, I should probably warn you that Zuri is the name of one of the characters in a Disney channel television programme. (Hey Jessie)

Bowlersarm · 27/02/2015 20:38

Isn't it a Russian boys name?

Robstersgirl · 27/02/2015 20:45

Yes, I've only ever heard it in Hey Jessie too. I don't think it's as unusual as you might think as a lot of people will know it from the show.

I love it. It is pretty but not too girly and unusual without being confusing to spell or pronounce. I have only ever met one little Zuri before and she was delightful.

Zoe is lovely, different but not so alien.

I prefer Zala for an unusual Z name personally. Zuri sounds a bit masculine to me
