So I love talking baby names, dh hates it. Yet unreasonably won't let me choose without him approving the name. I know he won't talk about them for months yet so here I am, nine months of baby names analysis (all being well) here I come...

Would appreciate suggestions for names based on ones I like...

I like for girls:

I like for boys:

Well, I like them all except Horatio - little bit too Hamlet for me! - and Clementine, which is too - fruit!

I like Martha and Alexander best :)

Lucy or Clementine for a girl. Leo or Alexander for a boy. I like most of them. Not so much Frank or Frances . . .

I like all of them except Lucy, and I prefer Vivien to Vivienne. I also prefer Frank as a nickname for Francis.

My picks would be Constance and Joseph.

I like Vivienne Frances and Joseph Alexander. Annie Clementine is cute and I like Catherine also. Strongly dislike Martha, Constance and Horatio.

Yay! I'm nine months (near as dam it) off too but I LOVE talking names!! My current faves are Girl - Elodie and boy - Laurie.

I also love Clara for a girl and I'm a Dickens fan and would so do Pip for a boy...bBut my dh I'll never go for it!!

Love Constance nn Connie but unfortunately can't use it as a close friend named her daughter it recently.

I'm all done with babies but I love naming other people's.

I would knock Martha, Lucy, Vivienne, Daniel and Horatio off the list. I would use Alexander as a middle name.

I like Lucy and Martha and LOVE Catherine. It is surprisingly underused these days and has so many lovely nicknames.

I don't like Frances for a girl but do for a boy (but don't like Frank as shortening). I don't like Constance I'm afraid and Vivienne is too fussy for me.

I like all your boys names apart from Frank (as above) and think Horatio is just too much. I think Leo is probably my favourite - quite "on-trend" but a lovely sound to it.
