Short boys names-help please!

Hi all,

I'm currently expecting my first and have been thinking of names. My DH and I have our girls choice decided ( we don't know what we are having ) but we are struggling with boys names!
We have a long surname and the middle name we have chosen-a family name-is quite long too so would like a short first name so I don't feel that people need to pause for breath in the middle of saying his name!
I love Scottish names but ironically the only boys ones I can think of don't seem right.
I love Jude and Oscar but DH isn't too keen on them so suggestions would be very welcome!
Thanks in advance Smile

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think short as in one syllable it doesnt need to be short letter wise

I have an Arron.

Apparently there is an island near Scotland called Arran for an alternative spelling? Grin
