My friend is having her second little boy in June and is totally stuck. What does with Huey? Her OH has suggested Bruce and Jimmy which she's not keen on.

All I can come up with is Duey or LouieGrin I don't think much does 'go' with Huey. What sort of names does your friend like?

Gus, Freddie, Patrick, Seb, Ralph?

squoosh · 21/02/2015 18:27

Tell her not to pick a name that ends with an ee sound, will sound too cartoonish.

Aprilbaby24 · 21/02/2015 19:08

I really like Huey and Eric x

EeB00 · 21/02/2015 20:56

Huey? Really?

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/02/2015 21:31

I don't think op will be back!

TywysogesGymraeg · 21/02/2015 21:36

Huey is such an awful name, she's going to be hard pressed to find another equally as awful.

Alisvolatpropiis · 21/02/2015 21:37

It is certainly...unusual

ThroughTheLongNight · 21/02/2015 21:54

Vincent?

BikeRunSki · 21/02/2015 21:58

Not Ralph!!!!!!

SnoringNorma · 22/02/2015 01:02

Yes. Huey. Really. She has slight learning difficulties due to a car accident and it's easy for her to say. Seeing as he is a really sweet already here little boy thank god she cant see your comments on how awful his name is. What a really nasty bunch of judgemental cows. I've just had my second miscarriage and felt a comfort coming to this site because it reminded me how happy I was when I thought I had a second chance. Never mind...you all congratulate yourselves on your perfect taste and small minds.

I don't see anything wrong with Huey to be honest. Hugh/Huey, John/Johnny, Tom/Tommy, it seems like quite a standard informal sort of name.

I think something short and snappy like Leo, Sam or Zac would work well.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 22/02/2015 03:28

I agree maybe not another name ending in an 'ee' sound so how about:
Arlo
Jake
Ellis
Tom
Seth
Drake
Frank
Brent
Jared
Mike
Rex
Jed
Grant
Nico
Max
Clarke
Dane
Felix
Justin
Quinn
Adam
