Sylvia?

Probably with Sylvie as a NN. For reference, siblings are Isaac and Nancy - not that it matters, but I suppose it needs to 'fit'. Other names we like are Edith/Edie and Juno, at one stage, but I seem to have lost interest in that!

I like it, uncommon but still a normal name. Not so keen on Edith or Juno - I like Mabel too, or Lillian maybe?

Love love love Sylvia.
And Edith/Edie.

Or Lilleth?

Love Sylvia. It's my daughter's middle name, though I do sometimes wonder if it would have made a good first name (instead of Matilda which I still love).

mathanxiety · 20/02/2015 19:33

I love Sylvia and Edith as names for a sister to Nancy and Isaac. They both fit really well imo. I think they are both lovely names, with perhaps Edith just pipping Sylvia where my preference goes. I really love the NN Edie.

Juno is nice too but I don't think it goes as well somehow.

FelixFelix · 20/02/2015 19:35

I love it. I have a Sylvie and wish I'd called her Sylvia.

beatricequimby · 20/02/2015 22:34

Love it. Makes me think of Sylvia Pankhurst.

ARightOldPickle · 20/02/2015 22:37

It's my middle name. And I really don't like itSad

Sophronia · 21/02/2015 00:27

I like both Sylvia and Edith.

Amy106 · 21/02/2015 00:36

I love Sylvia. The only one I know is a kind, creative soul with a heart of gold.

BlueStarsAtNight · 21/02/2015 08:12

I love both Sylvia and Edith and think they go really well with your other DC names.

lunalovegood84 · 21/02/2015 16:05

I love Sylvia, like Edith a lot. Hate Juno - very faddy.

squoosh · 21/02/2015 18:29

I really love the name Sylvia, prefer it to Sylvie. It's the name of someone who's very glamorous and very good in a crisis.

squoosh · 21/02/2015 18:30

Please pick it over Edith, Edith is Sylvia's disapproving maiden aunt.

bexibean · 22/02/2015 08:21

Sqoosh - I have an Aunt Sylvia and she is very glamorous and great in a crisis (was head of crisis management for an airline!) - very perceptive of you.

And also Great name, works really well with your sib set. Definitely Sylvia!

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 22/02/2015 12:20

All lovely names. O.P.
I am picturing a little girl named Sylvie. With long blond bouncy curly hair, blue eyes and Rosie cheeks. The personality I'm imagining is confident playful chatty mischievous and fun loving.
Love Edie and Juno, too but I'm getting drawn to Sylvie.

Nightstar · 22/02/2015 19:59

I actually think Juno goes best with your current names, even though it isnt my favourite.

Sylvia is just so pretty! I want it, but my DH just can't seem to get how gorgeous it is
