If I like Edison...

My DS has a fairly unusual name, it's a traditionally a surname but is an important family name on my DPs side and is DPs middle name.

Pregnant with DC2 now and I have a fairly decent list of girls names but am feeling pretty stumped if we have another boy- I'd like something non-traditional that 'goes with' DS's name but not sure. I like the following:

Edison
Kai
Rex
Ezra
Mac

I LOVE Edison. A friend's little boy is named that and I think it's a gorgeous name. Plus if he grows up and decides its a little unusual he can always use Ed or Eddie on a daily basis.

How about Saul?

I think Edison goes really nicely with DS as they are both 'surname' names but then I do worry that it has the very 'normalised' abbreviation as my other DS doesn't have that really (although we have him a more traditional middle name if he chooses).

I like Saul but isn't there a breaking bad link/spin off - I'm not sure if people would think we were mega fans or something! (I've not actually watched it)

I know an Edison his brother is Spencer?

Oh, see I like Spencer but don't think DP will.

Conrad? Wilson?

Ahh that's a shame, Spencer is really cute.

DP really likes Cory but with his surname it is the same name as the lead singer of a fairly famous metal band- they aren't massively culturally relevant anymore but in my ill advised teen goth days he was and I just can't get past it!

I love Edison :).
