I'm due next week, we have decided on boys name, Arthur.
Girls names are either Martha, Mabel or Alice? What are your thoughts?!

Arthur is great. I really like Martha and Mabel, not so keen on Alice.

Are you likely to have another child? If you have a girl called Martha and then a boy, you couldn't really call him Arthur (maybe a little premature but potentially worth bearing in mind?)

Yes, Martha would rule out Arthur for a potential future baby.

Then again if that's your favourite name.

I quite like Mabel. Not a name you hear very often (yet) :)

I think Martha and Mabel will age badly (and so will Arthur) because they're very 'now'. Alice is more timeless.

Alice and Martha are lovely - don't like Mabel. Arthur is nice, quite trendy though.

Love all of them (unhelpful I know). I disagree with a PP that they are very "now" names. I view all of these as timeless classics. Good luck for the end of your pregnancy. Smile

We already have a Lily, had no idea how popular it was when we chose it 6 and a half years ago!
Not planning anymore after this one.
I'm more Martha and OH is more Mabel with Alice as a middle name.

You might both like Maeve, maybe? Maeve Alice would be a lovely combo.

Mabel is the middle name of the little girl in my tummy!

I like all 3 names and would wait now until u meet her to see which is the best fit.

Thank you, no closer to a decision, do going to wait until baby arrives! It will probably be a boy so all this talk/arguing won't matter!
