Hi
Newbie here :)
I need some help with a name for baby #3.
I am due in 4 weeks and we don't know the sex of the baby. We already have two daughters: Phoebe (4) & Olivia (2)
There are 0 names I love this time, I think we are going with Dexter for a boy, I don't love it but it's the only boys name I like, though I am open to anyone's suggestions of names that might 'go' with our daughters names.
Our girls list (in preference order) is:
Amelie
Scarlett
Matilda

What do you think of these? I am again very much open to suggestions if anyone has any.

Thanks :)

I like Matilda the best . Still not overly used ( just about !) and can be shortened nicely if you wanted to ( Mattie/ Tilly/ Tillie/Tilda ) . My least favourite would be Amelie - it's a lovely name but there are Amelie's and Amelia's popping up left , right and centre these days . Good luck deciding and with the birth Smile

Thank you. I agree about Amelie's popping up everywhere but I already have an Olivia which is about as overused as you can get :( so I'm wondering if I need to go with something equally as classic/common for it to 'go' if you see what I mean?

I like your suggestions too - just think a V name would go well with your dds names.

MaelstromOfLunacy · 11/02/2015 23:19

Love Matilda :) I have a Dexter - other boys names I like are Isaac, Nathan, Reuben and Noah.

Scarlett
Daniel

Thanks all.. Will run some past my husband

Should prob mention our last name starts with V so I probably can't use a V name, although I love Violet & have it on my mn list

Ha! Well your surname must suit your dds first names perfectly then :)

Emvy1985 · 11/02/2015 23:30

I hope so Smile
Phoebe's name flows nicely with last name, Olivia's can sometimes be a bit of a mouthful with the V sound in her first name & last name but still.. I like them :)

A great V name for a girl is Victoria or Victor for a boy.

Love Matilda from your list.

For a boy
Benjamin
Trevor
Malachi

Good luck deciding and with the birth.Flowers

Scarlett as then all three girls' names would have a different sound and different ending.
On the same lines, Elliot for a boy.
