We are struggling with boys names with only a few months left . Here are the names we like so far . Let us know what you think and please suggest similar ones along the same line / style which we may not have thought of . Thanks ! :

Arlo
Soren ( nn Sol?)
Spike
Sid
Sirus
Raif
Ruben
Frey
Emmet
Zefyr / Zephyr ( nn Zef ?)

That's enough to go on - am sure you get the idea ! Thanks

My favourites are Ruben (although I'd spell it Reuben) and Raif (although I'd prefer that Rafe or Raef). Not a fan of Zefyr/Zephyr or Spike I'm afraid. How about Isaac or Nye?

bienemaya · 05/02/2015 22:36

I like Arlo, Reuben and Cyrus. Or how about Quentin, Rufus or Dominic?

TellmetogetonwithmyWork · 05/02/2015 22:37

Like Arlo best. I like soren but not if you are in wales as sounds bit too much like seren.

Thor?
Bram?

D0nnaO · 06/02/2015 08:17

Arlo or Rueben Smile

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 09:11

Emmet.
What about Noi?

reuset · 06/02/2015 09:32

I think Reuben is the best of those, sorry. Or even Arlo.

Don't think much of the others...

RL20 · 06/02/2015 10:43

I like Ruben from your list. I've been thinking about Ruben too. My short list (and it really is a short list!) is this, in order of favourites;
Freddie
Max
Theo.

What about Jax?

I also like Roman but unfortunately I know of a couple of little boys with that name and we don't really get on with one of the mothers! She's not a nice person at all and it really put me off using the name!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/02/2015 14:19

Don't like any of them, sorry. Fret and Zefyr are the worst. Raif looks silly with that spelling.

Reuben (this spelling) is the best, but it's not a name I love.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 06/02/2015 14:52

Confused none of them really --especially Spike. OK as a nickname . like if you chose Sid.

You need to see how they pair with your surname and practice shouting it across the park Wink

I love Zac/Zak/Zach but not Zack

StoneFoxMama · 06/02/2015 16:15

Like all of them, Arlo is lovely. Prefer Raif spelt as Ralph or Rafe.
What about Otis, Rufus, Sidney, Zeb, Herbie, Leif.

BlueChampagne · 06/02/2015 16:17

I like Arlo and Soren. How about:

Conrad
Wreford
Torin
Hamnett
Godwin

ClementineAndCordelia · 06/02/2015 21:15

Yes BlueChampagne we also like Torin a lot too . Everyone else : We wouldn't use most of the list when it came to it , they are just an example of our style . Arlo is the favourite , but our daughters name has the same four letters so might be a bit of a tongue twister ! Can't use Ruben as friends little boy has that . Not keen on many of the other suggestions sorry , although Nate is nice and they are all along the right lines . We like Sid but really don't like Sidney .Don't have a problem with short names or nicknames , it's longer names that we struggle with . Do like Atticus, but a friend has that . Keep them coming , thanks !

Soren is a fruit loaf.

The only one that's really to my taste is Ruben.

How about

Solomon (Sol)
Sullivan (Sully)
Jude
Jed
Tate
Beau
Lucian

ClementineAndCordelia · 06/02/2015 23:03

I think the fruit loaf is ' Soreen' BlueStarsAtNight! Haha . I like Sol . Also like Sully when short for Sullian , but DH doesn't .Jude is interesting but just not me . Good list though !

Arlo, Sid or Spike?

cosmicglittergirl · 09/02/2015 12:46

Arlo.

StampyShortnose · 09/02/2015 13:04

I only like soren I'm afraid.

Arlo is a town on Essex, Reuben is v v well used here and the others sound made up or tryong too hard to be different.

How about Eli, Cassian, Seth, Zane, Rex?

StoneFoxMama · 09/02/2015 14:19

I think the Essex town is Marlow.
Arlo is a name, like Arlo Guthrie.

ClementineAndCordelia · 02/03/2015 17:24

Liking Sulien now ( nn Suli / Sully) . I haven't heard this around very much atall and saw it in a Welsh / Celtic names book the other day .Anyone heard of this / like it?

OP posts:
florascotia · 02/03/2015 17:36

Some experts think that Arlo really does come from a place name - perhaps an Irish one mangled by an English poet (Spenser), or perhaps something Old English such as 'Eagle Hill'.

There is a Harlow in Essex (which is often pronounced 'Arlow)...

ScaryChicken · 02/03/2015 23:22

Have you considered Torben?
