Zanthe?

I have a DD with an Arabic type name so think a name in a similar vein would work well. I think it's Greek.

Zanthe is a Greek island though, isn't it? So the OP is right in that it is a word. But prob best to stick with Xanthe for a name.

Can think of lots of other islands - Elba is nice or Islay, Corsica... I could go on, and on, and on

I like it! I know it's spelt Xanthe but I think most people would hear the name and think it was spelt Zanthe :) couldn't persuade DH so we had a Zoë instead!
