When you hear the name Darcy, what do you think? Is it feminine and pretty? Does it go with Tilly?

Cannot decide what little girls name I like!

No. Not especially feminine. Or pretty. It's a surname.

Sophiesmummie · 03/02/2015 18:50

No, as I prefer other names.

HollyBen · 03/02/2015 18:52

I like it. Not on my shortlist personally but I think it is pretty mad goes with Tilly

VixxFace · 03/02/2015 18:52

Too cutesy. But goes with Tilly.

I wouldn't use it.

QueenB14 · 03/02/2015 18:52

Not personally but I do think it's lovely

And goes with Tilly too imo

Fanjango · 03/02/2015 18:53

There is a Darcey in dds class. The name seems to sound okay but it comes across as a bit wannabe upper class IYSWIM.

Toomanyexams · 03/02/2015 18:54

I don't think it goes with Tilly if you are using one as a middle name and the other as a first name. They are too similar. If you mean "go together" as in sibling names that relate, then yes.

whyhasmyheadgonenumb · 03/02/2015 18:56

No, but I know 3

Archer26 · 03/02/2015 18:57

I love Darcy/Darcey. Tried to get dh to agree to it for bub due in April but he isn't keen.

I'm not mad on Tilly though as a middle name with. Not sure it flows. But as a name by itself Tilly is nice.

notonyourninny · 03/02/2015 18:57

No i dont like it

ErrolTheDragon · 03/02/2015 19:03

When I hear the name Darcy I think 'Mr' in his wet shirt. I don't think it's particularly pretty. Sorry.

PrimroseEverdeen · 03/02/2015 19:06

I like it!

FluffyMcnuffy · 03/02/2015 19:11

Don't like it, although nowhere near as bad as dulcie!

Branleuse · 03/02/2015 19:14

i know two teenage Darcys and I think its a lovely name. Not over used. Not twee

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/02/2015 19:16

I like it.

blueemerald · 03/02/2015 19:16

I really like it but it is not "pretty" or feminine. I wouldn't pair it with Tilly (which is a little... fluffy in my opinion)

WheresTheHoneyMummy · 03/02/2015 19:19

I love it! Know a teenage Darcy and a younger Darci

WhatismyLife · 03/02/2015 19:19

I really like it! lovely name. Its different, but in a nice way.

adarkwhisperinthewoodwasheard · 03/02/2015 19:20

I like it. I think it sounds graceful like darcy bussell

cece · 03/02/2015 19:25

No.

I really don't like it at all.

Names that I think 'go' with Tilly (as in sibing)

Anna
Clara
Sara
Lotte
Jane

punygod · 03/02/2015 19:28

If I had a DD I would not be able to resist saying "arsey Darcy" every time she threw a strop.

So for that reason, I'm out Wink

sticklebrickstickle · 03/02/2015 19:30

I wouldn't use it but I do quite like it. I think it sounds pretty and cutesy - similar to Tilly. Would work with Tilly as a sibling name but definitely not if one is first name and the other middle name as too similar.

SukieTuesday · 03/02/2015 19:31

I know two. One is a male Cavalier King Charles and the other is a female Bichon Frise.

invisiblecrown · 03/02/2015 19:31

I think it is bloody awful. Sickly.

ignominious · 03/02/2015 19:33

No. Arsey. Also, not a name.
