What spelling do you prefer?

Eleanor. I think Elinor looks odd.

I prefer Elinor, I think it's really pretty but more modern than Eleanor. It's how Merida's mother's name in Brave is spelled.

If you have Welsh heritage then it's fine to use Elinor. It's not "wrong" it's Welsh.

Funnily enough nearly everyone I have come across has used the wrong spelling which is very annoying

The sister in Sense and Sensibility is Elinor, so not too modern. I like both spellings.

The Elinors I know both pronounce it the same as Eleanor, so I'd opt for the more popular, well known spelling.
