Hello!

DH and I have narrowed it down to 4 names. DD3 will be joining siblings Basil, Charis and Mirabel.

Middle name will be Pearl or Alba.

Briar
Claudia
Hero
Vivian/Vivienne

I like Vivienne best, then Claudia. Briar and Hero are not my cup of tea and don't seem to fit so well with the siblings either (especially Basil and Briar!)

Sophronia · 25/01/2015 20:51

I like Vivien spelled this way, Vivien Pearl would be lovely.

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 20:55

Thank you so far! Love Vivian and all its spellings - very undecided so far.

Is it silly that I think Vivienne Westwood is a twerp and she is putting me off an otherwise gorgeous name?

CrispyFern · 25/01/2015 20:59

I think Hero goes best with the other names.
But I don't really like Hero Alba or Hero Pearl at all.
I like Hero Vivienne!

Vivienne Alba Would be my second choice then Claudia Pearl.
I don't like Briar.

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 21:01

I've outed myself anyway, so I might as well give some more context. DC's are Basil Edmund, Charis Allegra, and Mirabel Blythe.

Vivienne is my favourite, followed by Claudia.

I don't like Hero or Briar at all.

Middle names are fab aswell!

ooerrmissus · 25/01/2015 21:25

Love Vivienne, I believe Vivian is the male spelling?

Briar and Basil don't work together IMO

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 21:26

There are all sorts of spelling used as a girls name - this is so confusing!

Oh Hero by far! It definitely goes the best with your other DCs' names and fits the right 'vibe'. Vivian also fits with the 20s/30s feel of the names, but I don't like it quite as much - and it will inevitably get shortened to "Viv", which I hate - sorry! ("Viv" puts me in mind of elderly Mancunian ladies - I'm a Northerner ;) )

Mirabel is such a gorgeous name. I must put it on my next list...

toddlerwrangling · 25/01/2015 21:27

Oh and I also agree on Hero Vivienne. Lovely!

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 21:28

Haha, I am Mancunian! Not lived there for a very long time, but still very very Manc at heart!

OP posts:
Artandco · 25/01/2015 21:30

Vivienne Pearl

Allalonenow · 25/01/2015 21:31

I think Hero Alba is a fabulous name, streets head of Vivienne.

ChippingInLatteLover · 25/01/2015 21:32

Briar. I think it goes best with the others.

Hero. I just couldn't use that, it's far too 'out there' for me. I think it would attract a lot of bullying.

Briar Pearl.

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 21:37

Hero isn't any more out there than my other kids' names!

OP posts:
squoosh · 25/01/2015 22:11

Your children sound as though they should be in a 1930's kids' adventure story!

I think Claudia is my favourite but Briar fits in more with the vibe you've already got going.

invisiblecrown · 25/01/2015 22:17

Thank you squoosh! That is an absolute compliment to me!

DH is gutted our 4th and final child is a girl, as he has wanted to use Leonidas for years. I am relieved!

rockinrobintweet · 25/01/2015 22:23

Claudia is my favourite. i adore the middle name Pearl too!

i agree with PP however that Briar and Basil don't seem to go together in my opinion.

Hero is very 'cool', i don't agree with the bullying comment, it's one of those names i would love to know someone who used it, but wouldn't be ballsy enough to use it myself!!

Guin1 · 26/01/2015 05:11

Vivienne Pearl

Icedfinger · 26/01/2015 06:57

Fab names!

If it's any help I teach a Hira, a similar sound to Hero?

Love Claudia Pearl by the way!

invisiblecrown · 26/01/2015 10:14

DH has thrown Coral into the mix this morning, which my sleep deprived brain is loving. Maybe a middle name?

OP posts:
Rhubarbgarden · 26/01/2015 13:18

I like Briar. And Coral.

invisiblecrown · 26/01/2015 13:45

I am still not closer to narrowing it down Confused

OP posts:
LollyLondon · 26/01/2015 13:48

Vivienne or Claudia

Great names btw!

CrispyFern · 26/01/2015 14:09

I don't like Coral.

Maybe because it makes me think of the Walking Dead threads on here though, and the boy Carl/Coral.
