What is Romilly's Middle name?

She's here! We went with Romilly after lots of help from this forum so thank you! We are still stuck on a middle name though so any ideas would be much appreciated.

Initial thoughts....
I really wanted to have Rita as a middle name as its my grandmas name but does Romilly Rita sound as ridiculous as I think it does?

I've got a feeling that single syllable middle names would work best. Do you agree? If so, what is there apart from rose or grace, neither of which I can use?

If it's relevant, her nn is Romy. Which I have noticed is already being used a lot!

Our surname is ugly and begins with a U pronounced 'yew'

Thank you in advance!

Also, I think Romilly Rita is lovely, but maybe break it up with a second Middle name if it bothers you, e.g. Romilly Alice Rita

scarletforya · 19/01/2015 22:51

I do love Rita but I'm not sure if it goes. Jane would be lovely with it.

Opopanax · 19/01/2015 22:51

Mary, Jane, Anne, Emma, Harriet. I think I'm saying plain and traditional.

I quite like Romilly Catherine too.

One syllable names:

Faith
Hope
Kate
Blanche
Eve
Maeve
May
Skye
Beth

Alternatively, longer names could work well
Romilly Elizabeth
Romilly Alexandra

But to me, 2 and 3 syllable names don't flow.

Romilly is a lovely name.

Justyouwaitandsee · 19/01/2015 23:08

I think Romilly Rita could work. Otherwise, what about:

Romilly Rose
Romilly Grace
Romilly Kate
Romilly Ruth
Romilly Jane
Romilly Rebecca

NotTheKitchenAgainPlease · 19/01/2015 23:26

Romilly Rose
Romilly Kate sounds nice too

NotTheKitchenAgainPlease · 19/01/2015 23:27

What Just said really.

squoosh · 19/01/2015 23:32

Congratulations!

I'd just go with Rita and not worry that it hindered the flow of the name slightly. I like the alliteration.

SnoringNorma · 20/01/2015 01:21

Congratulations! Please forgive any repeats
Pearl
Fern
Maeve
Sian
Beth
Claire
But Romilly Pearl is my favourite.

KoalaDownUnder · 20/01/2015 01:28

Oh, Romilly is to die for!! LOVE that name!

As for middles - Pearl or Joy :)

Congrats!

Romeorodriguez · 20/01/2015 01:35

Romilly Rita sounds cool. I love the name Rita, could you go with Rita Romilly? Way cooler!

OutragedFromLeeds · 20/01/2015 01:47

I think it sounds better with a long middle name.

Romilly Elizabeth
Romilly Cassandra
Romilly Olivia
Romilly Anastasia
Romilly Alexandra
Romilly Isabella

BaggiesBaggies · 20/01/2015 01:59

Romilly Jean. The one syllable J names are the way to go but this is my favourite.

Justyouwaitandsee · 20/01/2015 05:42

Ooh I love Romilly Jean too, but still think that it is nice to use Rita given it's special significance. Nice to have something a bit different to the norm and personal meaning.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 20/01/2015 19:18

Romilly Margaret/Margot? I think Rita is sometimes used as a nn for Margaret so there would be link!

maggiethemagpie · 20/01/2015 19:42

Romilly Rita does sound slightly ridiculous. You did ask.

Love Romilly btw.

ClaireFraser · 26/01/2015 21:32

I think the earlier suggestion of adding another middle name inbetween Romilly and Rita works really well. As the pp (sorry, can't remember who it was!) said eg Romilly Alice Rita sounds gorgeous!

ch1134 · 26/01/2015 21:44

Romilly Rita makes me think of Ryvita.

yummymango · 27/01/2015 20:30

Romilly Eve. Not Romilly Rita.
