Already have a poppy and a violet.

I don't like rose or iris and I'm not specially keen on daisy.

I must be having a brain freeze as am struggling to think of suitable floral names! Any thoughts?

I know a lovely Zinnia!

Italiangreyhound · 10/01/2015 17:46

My favourite is Laurel.

Willow is also nice as has been said before.

I like Marigold.

I also like Lantana but I think I like the flower more than the name. No offence to anyone who has a Lantana.

I have never heard of a person named this before but maybe there are some.

marmaladegranny · 10/01/2015 17:47

Daphne, Veronica - maybe rather 1940's!

Allalonenow · 10/01/2015 17:48

Amaryllis

heygoldfish · 10/01/2015 17:48

I had no idea a lot of these were flowers Grin

I think I want a definite flower/plant name to go with the other two. Think willow, bryony and clover are my favourites. I also like posy.

Sweet jesus! Wisteria?!

HappydaysArehere · 10/01/2015 17:54

I must say I really like Daisy. It's short, traditional and sweet but you say you are not keen. Second favourite is Lily. Pity you can't ask your little one. You might try them out on your Poppy and Violet! Please let us know you decision. Congratulations. Flowers

Camellia
Saffron- actually a purple crocus
Bluebell
Lilac instead of Lilly

heygoldfish · 10/01/2015 17:55

Haha well I did ask for flower names!

I don't like heather and hazel - not sure why. Iris just - don't like the sound of it and I think rose works best as a middle name :)

heygoldfish · 10/01/2015 17:55

Fleur is another one I don't like the sound of although the meaning is gorgeous!

Really love Briony, think I prefer that spelling to Bryony. I have a soft spot for Clover and Hazel too, though can't use any flower names as they just don't go with our surname!

SquidgyMummy · 10/01/2015 18:09

Calla (type of Lilly)
Camilla
Gardenia
Ianthe
Jonquil

squoosh · 10/01/2015 18:19

Aster

mrsnec · 10/01/2015 18:28

I was about to say that Fresh! I read the other day it means red rose in Arabic as well.

We have a Melissa, Poppy and Violet in the family.

loislines · 10/01/2015 19:28

There's an actress called Honeysuckle Weekes (not sure on the surname...). You'd have to be pretty brave though I think it's a cool name.

shakemysilliesout · 10/01/2015 20:35

In keeping up appearances the 3 sisters all had flower names but I can't remember them. Grrrrrrrrr. Off to Wikipedia...
