Middle Name(s) for Agnetha.

Hello Mums.

I am 6 months preggo with dc1. Its a little girl. We have our heart set on the name Agnetha (dh is Swedish). It is pronounced Annyetta. I did a thread on Scandi baby names and have considered allot of those for middle names too. But I would quite like the middle name(s) to be English as the first name AND surname (Kjellberg) are Swedish. I like Darcy/Darci , but not sure it works with Agnetha (Agnetha Darcy?). It could work I suppose.

Any Ideas Smile ?

I have no idea but I didn't realise Agnetha was pronounced, "Annyetta". I always thought it was Ag-neeth-a. You learn something every day!

Lovely name! I think OPs pronunciation is a bit anglicised, Seth. But that is kind of inevitable; if I insisted on people pronouncing my name the way we say it in Sweden, nobody would dare speak to me. I would say that Swedes in Sweden say it like this (assuption of Queen's English pronunciation): Ang (as in hang) - Near - Tah. Such a nice name. And boy, with your surname (Shell-beri), she might be glad of a straightforward, unambiguous English name like Darcy. Or Jane?

just because they "go" in both languages and are pretty. In terms of "ring" I quite like the sound of a middle name with the same stress as "Celeste", but I can't think of many: Colette, Noelle, Marie, all of which have a bit of a French flavour, I suppose (and Celeste is the only one out of them I really like).
Good luck, OP, and enjoy!

Agnetha Elin (Welsh as well as Scandinavian)
Agnetha Elise (French but popular in England)
Agnetha Eleanor
Agnetha Julianna
Agnetha Josephine
Agnetha Madeleine
Agnetha Elizabeth
Agnetha Estelle (name of a Swedish baby princess but popular in England too)

I really don't like Darcy with Agnetha -- I think it sounds a bit clunky.

What about Louise? A 2 syllable name would sound best.
