Nothing at all. Anna is lovely and elegant. I'm personally not a fan of Lucy but it works well with Anna.

Thanks all. I love both names. Would prefer not to use them together but Lucy doesn't work for us as a first name. I only know one pronunciation of Anna!

How could there be more than one pronunciation of Anna?

My 'girl name' for DC1 in the 80s was Lucy, with Anne as a middle name.

It wouldn't have worked... he just looks so much more like a Joe.

It's great. I'm not mad keen on Lucy but it's a solid choice and middle names should be something you love.

We do have a 3 syllable surname. Wasn't sure of the 'flow' of Anna Lucy. Lucy is a family name though so I'd like to use it. I prefer the sound of Anna Lucia but it sounds too much like Andalucia! Don't be envious. .. I have a ds and am only (obsessively) planning dc2 now!

Lovely name, very classic, can't go wrong. I know an Anna Lucia and had never thought of 'andalucia' and I have to say that wouldn't bother me anyway.

My sis is Anna and I love both Anna and Lucy. Not sure about the flow though. Dsis is Anna Louise which works better in my view. Anna Lucia does sound like Andalucia .
