I like Reuben. What else might I like?

I also like Jude, but DH thinks it's a girl's name. I think Theo is lovely, but it would become Fee-Yo due to local accents.

DD has a lovely, very uncommon, but real and easy to spell name.

For info, our girl list consists of:

Georgie (Georgina)
Rosie (DH's favourite, I'm not so keen due to accent issues)
Tilda (a friend has a Tilly so unable to use)
Genevieve (possibly a bit flowery for us)

Any boy name suggestions? We'd be happy with Reuben but it doesn't feel like "the one".

Thanks Smile

I almost want to have another DC so I can call him Reuben, it's a lovely name. Other possibly similar names:

Rory
Rudy
Arlow
Fran/Frankie/Francis
Samuel
George
Toby

iwouldgoouttonight · 06/01/2015 21:20

Actually I think Arlo might be without the W. Don't use that name, people (well me!) can't spell it.

AnythingNotEverything · 06/01/2015 22:23

Lots of lovely suggestions. I knew I could count on you lot Wink

Lots here I like but can't use due to other people and their kids (Sam, Toby, Malachi esp), but I'm definitely adding Rudy to the list. And maybe Ruairi (although I'm struggling to spell it and Rory isn't as fabulous at all).

Thanks!

I like Frank too. And the Pope is Francis, so maybe a good Catholic girl like me should take that as a sign ...

Can you say your DD's name? I'm intrigued.

AnythingNotEverything · 07/01/2015 08:21

Looki it would totally out me I'm afraid - there were fewer than 20 born the year she was born.

I'm finding this quite eerie - Reuben is my ds's middle name, his first name is the masculine version of a name on your girls list and I also have a cat called Rosie! So I think it's fair to say you are a woman of taste Grin

Other names we considered were:

Oscar
Ernest
Sam
Sebastian (Sebbie)
And, for a laugh, Iggy.

Orla
Isobel
Emily
Elodie
