Norah, I would if used if for my DD if it didn't rhyme with my name.

Isabel is drab and overused by comparison.

Isabel is very popular, and has been for years. It's a very pretty name, which accounts for its popularity.

IMO, Norah is not very pretty, but is less popular, so that may make it more preferable to you.

My Dd started secondary in September and was just this evening telling me about a new friend she has met (have become very good friends and she is called Nora! I commented to my dd that it was a unusual name to hear nowadays!

I would def go Nora (prefer without the h) lots of Isabel, Isabella's, izzy etc

Isabel I love too but there are two in dd's reception class so very popular.

Norah. Both are very pretty but Norah is much more unusual and cool.

Isabel is a beautiful name, the fact there are lots of them doesn't make it less beautiful, simply overused.

I had a good friend, Nora, lovely name and much less used.

Both are beautiful names. I'd drop the h too on Norah although I don't know why particularly - Seems to make it a bit more modern but not sure if that's a good enough reason.

Isabel is so popular that I've turned off the name but understand its popularity.

I really dislike Nora and think its a plain and old fashioned. There is one in my family (about 16 years old) and I still think its an awful name.

There are sooooo many Izzys everywhere. You practically trip over one every time you go to get a biscuit out of the tin.

So, I like Norah.
