Brother for James

Was originally thinking it should be another classic name but all the ones I like are off limits for various reasons (close friends children close in age, doesn't work with surname etc) and the ones left I don't particularly like.
I like Thomas, Edward, Alexander, Finlay, Matthew, Benjamin, Johnathon - but can't have them.
Don't particularly like William, Anthony, Joseph, and well most other boys names I can come up with at the mo.

Not hitting on anything I love. Starting to think I should go a bit more unusual. Would that be odd when my first born is a James? Any suggestions welcome.....

I have a James and an Oscar.

DC3 due 3 days ago (grrrr) and if it turns out to be a boy it will probably be a Benjamin, a Henry or a Jack.

I have a James and his sister would have been David if she has been a boy.

Also on our list were Robert, Daniel and Nathaniel

Sausages123 · 01/01/2015 19:11

I have a Henry with my James, we also liked Adam, Oscar and zachary
I really wanted Otis but it just didn't 'go'

Henry and Sebastion and daniel off limits
.
I like Adam but DH doesn't and Elliott but DH refuses as his mate not even in area has a son with that name! Aargh this is the problem with being one of the last in your circle to have children.

Other short list names have been Frederick, Felix, Lucas, Lewis, and Wilfred. Frederick has been the recent fave with a view to calling him Freddy. We settle on them for a while the go off them.
Just seen on anther thread the suggestion of Ellis. I quite like. Do you think works with James?

Ellis is fine with James, although personally I don't like it very much. I like the rest of your shortlist though, especially Lewis
