I think we're going for Deborah for dd2. Our boy choice was Malcolm - we tend to like names with a dated feel!
Will people be shocked by our choice? Dd1 has a slightly dated name too.

I love it!

I like Deborah! It is a bit dated but it's a biblical name, just like the 'classic' Sarah, Rachel, Hannah etc. 'Bee' is a sweet meaning as well. Nice choice Smile

I don't like it personally but it's a perfectly good, solid name.

Lovely name

burgatroyd · 31/12/2014 19:24

Its dated! Its not old enough to be hipster. Its old enough too be a bit bleh!

AngelCauliflower · 31/12/2014 20:23

I like it.

Thanks! Not as negative as I expected.
Now for a middle name.
We like Deborah Iris but they run into each other. Any suggestions?

Ooh I love Deborah but never been keen on Debbie. I'd shorten it to Deb to avoid Debbie I think...

Anyway mns could be....
Deborah Lucy
Deborah Jane
Deborah Emily
Deborah Grace
Deborah Rose
Deborah Clare
Deborah Elodie
Deborah Amy

Eileen/Irene?

rougebleu · 02/01/2015 09:29

Deborah Lucy is a brilliant suggestion. Love it!

Arsenic - I love Irene and Eileen as first names. Maybe for DD3!

I know a 25 year old Deborah, I like the name and think it really suits her. She's not wild about it but then I have a really common name and am jealous that she is just her first name (no "Sarah L" etc).

She is Deborah Rachel.
