I think it's dreadful. However, you might well think the same about my DS's name (which is not Harry, James, Oscar, Finlay or William). Why worry about what strangers on the internet think?

I call my DS sonny boy but as a nickname I would be a bit Hmm if someone else called it him

Christ almighty! Please, just... no.

It's not a name I would use myself but I don't dislike it either, if you see what I mean?

I know a rugby player called Sonny, has worked for him!

Sooooo, is it pronounced sonny or sunny?

Report
AlpacaYourThings · 24/12/2014 07:19

I quite like it.

sebsmummy1 · 24/12/2014 07:26

I have no problem with it either.

Thank you Keep, we had a Yorkshire terrier dog called Sunny...

It's not my usual style, but I actually quite like it!

I think it's an absurd name. I'd be terribly disapointed if, out of all the names in the world, I got given that one. What a short changer.

No name for a grown man. Just daft.

Hmm... I am undecided now, maybe it is a bit unsuitable for a grown man...

It's no more unsuitable for a grown man than Ptolemy is and there's a fair few little ones running around.

Report
Persipan · 26/12/2014 11:52

A fair few little Ptolemies?

I know two boys called Sonny, both are lovely one 8 and one 10 so it isn't too unusual. It's not one I'd choose but I don't hate it.

thegreylady · 29/12/2014 12:03

There is also a 7 year old Ptolemy in the same circle.

Its a name that travellers seem to quite fond of
