Hi everyone! We need your help! We have DD Elizabeth Jane. We cannot find a boys name we like! We like Classic and Timeless names but are trying to avoid popular ones. Here is our list so far...
Lawrence
James
Clark
William
Christopher
Alistair

Thanks! X

I would avoid William if you don't want too popular. Probably James too.

Laurence will be 'with a W', don't know if that would bother you or not.

Elizabeth and Nicholas, Elizabeth and Dominic.

BlueChampagne · 13/12/2014 22:51

Like Laurence and Alistair. Both were on our lists. How about Conrad?

Allalonenow · 13/12/2014 23:01

Laurence is my favourite from your list, nn Enzo, fab!!

shoobidoo · 14/12/2014 07:19

Love Christopher and Alistair. Or how about Quentin or Dominic?

Laurence is the female version of Laurent, so I would name a boy Lawrence.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 14/12/2014 07:20

Lawrence is my fave out of those.

I'm an Elizabeth Jane! My brother is James William John. Smile

pilates · 14/12/2014 22:46

William is my favourite.

BlueStarsAtNight · 14/12/2014 22:48

I think Christopher fits your brief best from your list.

I would also suggest Michael and Andrew.

RandomHouseRules · 14/12/2014 22:52

I know a number of Williams and Jameses, under 5. I don't know any Alistair's in that age bracket.

Your list looks a lot like ours did! Funnily enough DH also loves Elizabeth (Lizzie) if we were to have a girl. We went with Alistair and v pleased with it, only had positive comments (except older men who ask if we're Scottish - we're not) and love Ally as a nickname. We also considered Peter, Douglas and Hugh if that helps at all!

marthabear · 15/12/2014 14:19

Elizabeth and Arthur
Elizabeth and Joseph

myotherusernameisbetter · 15/12/2014 16:05

Gregor or Gregory

Alan
Duncan
Mark

cloggal · 15/12/2014 16:11

Love Alistair and Lawrence (though I'd spell them Alasdair and Laurence) - and the suggestion of Gregor.

Twinklebells · 15/12/2014 16:11

Mark or Jonathan.

mathanxiety · 15/12/2014 17:38

Elizabeth and Matthew?

I like Alistair and Christopher best from your list.

myotherusernameisbetter · 15/12/2014 18:05

We have an Alister and Alastair in our family so there are loads of spellings - DH says using a D is "wet" though...

cloggal · 15/12/2014 18:09

Maybe is, but it's the traditional Gaelic spelling so it'll stick Wink.

Matthew is a good suggestion.

myotherusernameisbetter · 15/12/2014 20:51

Ach, he's a Borders man so has a warped view of the world - we had to compromise on my younger sons' name - I got the name and he got the spelling - he went for a Gaelic spelling and said it was the Scottish one but I think it's ended up Irish - should have stuck to my guns. :)

myotherusernameisbetter · 15/12/2014 20:52

Actually if I'd stuck to my original guns we would have Struan and Gregor...

Eastpoint · 15/12/2014 20:52

Gabriel

cloggal · 15/12/2014 21:15

Both cracking names myotherusername - think Gregor is on my list if I have another ds :)

Borderer makes sense Wink
