Another one voting against Rosie and Lottie as lacking gravitas and not being 'real' names. You can always use them as nicknames, and give your DD the option of a proper adult name when she's an adult.

I think a PP's suggestion of Zoe Faye is good.

Zoe Abigail

Do the test, try being called each of these for a day. I'd hate to be called Rosie or Lottie (both way too cutesie for an adult IMO) but Zoe's great. I like Faye best out of your middle names.

My name is Charlotte and I am 27 and my name is often shortened to Lottie and I love it. I don't think it's too young sounding. Love all the names you have chosen. Think Rosie is so pretty.

Another vote for Zoe. Rosie and Lottie might be cute for babies, but they are not proper names. While I know a lot of people aren't bothered by nicknames on birth certificates, I do think that if you want to call a girl a cutesy name you ought to give her the option when she's older of using something with a little more gravitas. If you like Rosie, how about Rose or Rosalind as full versions?

Bobby1234 · 07/12/2014 19:55

I'd be happy to be called any of the names I think it depends on the person. The only cutesy names I wouldn't like to be called are daisy and poppy. My other daughter is Molly which gets similar feedback as being cutesy.

I generally don't like longer names like Rosalind and Charlotte unfortunately Rose is ok but my nieces middle name x

Rosie Autumn - very pretty. Really like it
Lottie Faye - not keen on Lottie. Faye is a nice middle name
Zoe Abigail - Like Zoe. Love Abigail.

I think I'd mix them and choose Rosie Abigail for preference. With Zoe Abigail as second choice.

Except that Molly and Rosie as a combination possibly sounds like cows? Or maybe I'm thinking of Molly and Daisy. I think perhaps Molly and Zoe work better together anyway.

Really dislike the name Faye.

Out of your choices, Zoe Abigail would be my favourite. I understand you don't like longer names such a Charlotte. DS is know by a cutesy nn & he's nearly 19 so its not a given that your child will want to be known by an alternative name; but, maybe calling your child Charlotte on the birth certificate, gives her a choice should she want this when she's older?

I like Rosie, however what about Rosa? Goes beautifully with Molly!

Bobby1234 · 08/12/2014 06:00

I don't really like the name Charlotte probably because I work in a school and have come across many, Rosa is ok but not a name I would choose x

Zoe Abigail I think.

Is there a famous cow Molly? Daisy makes me think of cows x

I like Rosie Abigail.
Lottie too cutesy and Zoe is nice but a bit dated. I knew lots of Zoes at school.
