I think I really like it. Does it 'go' with Tabitha?

It's a little bit of a tongue twister. Byron would be easier.

Lunastarfish · 04/12/2014 18:16

Hmm burgers...

Lunastarfish · 04/12/2014 18:17

But yes, it does go with Tabitha

mathanxiety · 04/12/2014 18:17

Is it Bryon or Byron?

Elfina · 04/12/2014 18:27

WHOOPS! Byron!

If it's Byron, it's rather a lot to live up to. A charming, brilliant psychopath. A clever, poorly brought up and probably abused child, an absolutely wonderful wit, a very clever poet, a wild child rockstar (of his times), the lover of his sister, a political idealist, really horrible to his wife...etc etc
And famously 'mad, bad and dangerous to know'.

I really don't get the Mumsnet preoccupation with 'matching' sibling names. Unless they are going to spend the rest of their lives living/working closely together, it really doesn't matter. Just choose names that you like!

mathanxiety · 04/12/2014 18:38

On top of everything Florascotia said, I think Byron really goes well with names like Myrtle and Earl - names you might find in small town America in the 1930s. I don't think it goes with Tabitha.

moxon · 05/12/2014 05:32

I've met way too many Byrons. It's the male equivalent of Persephone - nouveau posh.

ArsenicSoup · 05/12/2014 05:36

I quite like it op Smile

Sophronia · 05/12/2014 12:20

I quite like Byron actually, I know one in his mid-twenties.

mrstiggy · 05/12/2014 12:23

I'm married to a Byron. It's a good name, don't hear it too often.

Szeli · 05/12/2014 14:14

love it but as biased nn ronnie, i think byron and tabitha have a similar feel so work ok together

mathanxiety · 05/12/2014 17:19

The Byron I know started out as a repo man in St Joe MO. So not one bit nouveau posh or any other kind of posh either, to me.
