Just found out today we are having another girl!! DD1 is Louisa and we are finding it hard to think of another name we love as much. Please give your opinions on our list so far and we would also love any other suggestions you might have!

So far we have

Rebecca
Charlotte
Elsa
Lara
Georgia
Megan
Bethany

We probably like some of those better than the others but don't think there's a particular front runner yet.
Thank you! x

I love Louisa! I like Charlotte, Georgia, Rebecca and Bethany from your list. Have you considered Georgina? Here's some other suggestions:

Mariela
Beatrice
Adelaide
Penelope
Tamsin
Marie
Marianne
Elinor
Natalie

Sparkleheart · 29/11/2014 22:33

Aelfrida I have a friend called Georgina and a sister called Natalie! Like Tamsin though!

:) - I knew it went well!

Juliet is nice too?

Sparkleheart · 29/11/2014 22:43

DH not too fussed on Juliet. I like it though! It's hard to find names we both love!

What about Murran or Carla?

myotherusernameisbetter · 29/11/2014 22:46

Alison instead of Alice?

skinnyamericano · 29/11/2014 22:46

Lara, Lara, Lara.........but not with Louisa!

So, Charlotte instead for me, which is equally lovely.

Charlotte

clownumbrella · 29/11/2014 22:55

Louisa is gorgeous.

Your other names are lovely, though some more so than others. Unusually, I think they are all nice names ! My favourite is Rebecca. I really like your nicknames Smile but I don't like Georgia as much - {sorry.}

Sparkleheart · 29/11/2014 22:56

Not too fussed on Alison for some reason.

Martha and Abigail are nice. I know DH quite likes Abigail.

Seems to be a lot of love for Charlotte! I like Lottie as a nickname!

Rebecca and Charlotte are beautiful names, with lots of options for nicknames too. I also like Georgia.

Sparkleheart · 29/11/2014 23:04

Can anyone think of a nickname for Rebecca that's not Becky or Becca? Just don't love Becky, though Becca would be ok I think. Not that I should pick a name based on a nickname of course!

By the way, thank you all so much, this is all so helpful!

Reva? I think it comes from the Jewish Rivka for Rebecca though Reba is probably a better fit. Or you could work her initials into something (don't call her Rebecca Victoria - RV) or you could give her an entirely different nickname that has nothing to do with her given name. My DS2 has always been known as Moose after his first Christmas Jumper :o

Sparkleheart · 29/11/2014 23:10

Reva is quite nice! Love wee Moose, how cute! It's funny how nicknames can evolve so randomly!

OP posts:
myotherusernameisbetter · 29/11/2014 23:18

lol - Moose is now 13, nearly 6 foot tall and a great strapping lad - it suits him :)

Sparkleheart · 30/11/2014 00:42

Thinking of adding Isabelle and Caitlin to the list. Any thoughts on those?

OP posts:
pommedeterre · 30/11/2014 03:18

Abigail is nice (biased)

Rebbie for Rebecca?

I like Caitlin.

LionWings · 30/11/2014 11:05

I think Caitlin sounds quite modern compared to Louisa.

What about Genevieve?

Fluftytufty · 30/11/2014 11:10

I love Georgia, though I'd go for Georgie as it isn't as popular.

Imogen is one of my all time favourites.

Sophronia · 30/11/2014 14:16

Reba or Rivka as a nickname for Rebecca? I think Rivka is the Hebrew nn.

Suggestions:

Caroline
Annabel
Rowena
Esther
Rose
Susanna
Ellen
Jemima
Edith
Eleanor
Frances
Naomi
Vivien
Helena
Tabitha
Harriet
Catherine
Matilda
Elizabeth
Claudia
Mirabelle

Bobby1234 · 30/11/2014 15:55

Rebecca is very common where I teach normally 1 a class x

Sparkleheart · 30/11/2014 16:05

Sophronia I love your suggestions!

Bobby1234 that's good to know. I'm in Northern Ireland and only know one rebecca who is 4 but I'm sure there are many more out there!
