Too Old Testament?

DS2 is several hrs old and may well be a Benjamin.

I want to give him my dad's name as a middle name, and my dad's name is David William.

I think Benjamin David sounds a bit better than Benjamin William which feels very wordy. You just get Benjamin out and you have to start over with William...

But is Benjamin David too Old Testament..?? Not sure what I mean by that - maybe that it's a 'big' name..?

Meant to add, DS1 is Edward Jack, known as Teddy.

Benjamin David sounds lovely. I think they are both names that people think of as being mainstream classic rather than first thinking of them as being Old Testament.

Congratulations.

Cockadoodledooo · 08/11/2014 09:24

Melchizedek is possibly a bit too Old Testament, but Benjamin David is just a nice ordinary (in the best sense) name.

Aherdofmims · 09/11/2014 21:05

Do you mean a Benjamin in the French sense, meaning the youngest child?

It is a good name though.

Shlep · 10/11/2014 03:34

I love Benjamin David, it's a strong sounding name.

Just wanted to say, Zing one of your sons has the same name as mine Smile (Joshua David). You have very good taste Wink

Lovely names (Teddy and Benji, maybe?)

Congratulations Thanks

fortifiedwithtea · 10/11/2014 04:18

Congratulations Flowers

I like your name choice. Yes the names are found in the Bible but it wouldn't occur to me that put together they are OTT religious. They are classic names.
