If I like Vivienne..

..what else might I like? Must also go with DS's name (Cassius). DP and I really like Vivienne but not sure if it's too 'old lady'. I like classic timeless names that are slightly less popular. Thoughts please?

Genevieve

Vivienne is not old lady though, I think it's classic and feminine.

I was going to say Genevieve too. I like Vivienne - it's a lovely name.

Mouthfulofquiz · 02/11/2014 14:22

Vivienne is such a lovely name. It goes with Cassius I think. Genevieve as suggested above is also an excellent choice - and both could be shortened to Viv or Vivi as a nickname if you wanted...

BikeRunSki · 02/11/2014 14:25

Violette?

persepolis123 · 02/11/2014 14:27

I already suggested Genevieve but DP isn't keen. I do love Vivienne. The only thing stopping me using it is that I have a feeling a lot of people won't like it. I probably need to get over that though.

I think Vivienne is a beautiful name and goes perfectly with Cassius. I am having similar struggles with a couple of names I like at the moment because they're not names i've ever personally heard anyone use for a baby and I worry what people will think. But, it really does only matter if you love the name. The test I keep doing is, if you didn't use it, and you heard that someone else had since called their baby this name, would you feel a pang of regret/envy that you didn't use it?

Juliette?

I think Vivienne is lovely btw.

Vivienne is a beautiful name.
Classic

Gorgeous

Evangeline is in the same style.
But not as good as Vivienne.

I was just coming on to suggest Genevieve, too!

Also Claudine, Emmeline, Edith, Lucille, Ygraine.

We have a Vivienne and I love it. She's one year old and 'Vivi' suits her perfectly. We get loads of compliments on her name as well, so I wouldn't worry too much about it being generally disliked by the public. That said, names on our girls' list were:

Georgina
Philippa (We have one of these as well)
Felicity
Helena
Claudia
Ottilie
Agnes
Annemarie
Rosalind

Why can't you have Vivienne. I think it's very classy pretty and elegant and you wont get many of them in the classroom and the n.n Vivi is so cute.
