As title, we have decided on Martha if baby is a girl but cannot think of a middle name.

The middle names I chose for my boys are after family members.

Ds1 has a mn after my Dad and my Bil.

Ds2 is after DH and dh's grandad.

Any thoughts on relative's names?

I like the idea of relatives names and would love DNan who passed 2 years ago but don't think DP will go for it.
I like Elizabeth though.

Relative names are a nice idea, but are based in the hope that family have nice names.

I was investigating DH's female family names, and the best he has got is Pauline and Agnes!

Sinkingfeeling · 31/10/2014 23:33

I have a Martha Alice.

moxon · 01/11/2014 05:48

Martha Joan
Martha Leigh
Martha Maeve

BlueStarsAtNight · 01/11/2014 07:21

I don't think a middle name starting with a vowel works well, it's awkward to say after the a of Martha.
I like:
Martha Jane
Martha Lucy
Martha Florence
Martha Caroline
Martha Zoe
Martha Harriet

Martha Alice is lovely!

longestlurkerever · 01/11/2014 08:33

Martha Rose is nice but know Rose is very popular as a middle name. The nartha I know has her grandmas' names as middle names but I can't remember what they are. Was trying to just this morning actually as it's her christening today.

Iris is beautiful, Martha Iris is a lovely pairing. Both were on my list. I also like Martha Louise (probably showing myself as a child of the 80's there) and Martha Agnes. Depends on how it scans with your surname as well.

LoveWillTearUsApart · 01/11/2014 10:26

If I'd've had a girl, she would have been Martha Alison - very similar to the two Martha Alices on this thread!

Martha would have been after my great-grandmother, Alison after my friend.

Bicnod · 01/11/2014 10:59

Martha is on my list for DC3. Middle names will be Alice Eva after mine and DH's grandmas.

Lasttimebaby · 01/11/2014 11:02

I love
Martha ann
Martha Alice
Martha Mary

calzone · 01/11/2014 11:17

Martha Alice is quite hard to say with the A at the end of Martha and another one at the beginning of Alice.

Imvho. Smile

I LOVE Martha Iris MaySmileSmile

We were going to name our DC1 Martha Mary - then we discovered we were batting for team blueSmile

Mrsfrumble · 01/11/2014 20:05

Ours has Elizabeth. Other contenders were Iris and Audrey (both family names).
