Is Leo or Leon considered a Turkish name in Turkey? Do you know any Turkish Leo's?

I know a Turkish actress has recently named her son Leo, and I think Leon is a Turkish name, but would love to hear from some Turkish people on this.

Thanks in advance.

Leon is Greek, I believe.

Does it need to be Turkish in origin, or just considered a useable name in Turkey or by Turkish people? i.e. It's not a British name, but it's a perfectly fine name to use for a British child.

Believe me you need Cote d'Azur on this. My son is married to a Turkish lady and has lived in Turkey for 22 years now. I haven't heard Leo or Leon as a name but it is perfectly acceptable I would think.

Thank you for your replies.

It would be great to hear from Côte D'Azur! And anyone else who has some experience of a Turkey.
