William and Harry?

I have a DS called William. Harry was on the shortlist when we were choosing a name.
DP and I were just discussing if we have another DC and it is a boy and we both really like the name Harry but feel it may be unacceptable for obvious reasons.

What is the general consensus? Would we be ridiculed?

I would probably find it funny, but I wouldn't condemn you for it!

I think it depends what you/your family and friends are like?

I say if you like the name go for it. Or you could call him Henry and nn Harry then It's not so blatant?

There are thousands of names out there, can't you just pick another one?

I do think it sounds a bit funny.

I know a family with a William and Harry. I would never say anything to them about it but you do wonder why anyone would do this.

I know a family with a William and and a Harry - always makes me smile. Unfortunately for them they also have a George (just predates Prince George) so it makes them look like avid Royalists

Yeah I thought that might be the case. It's hypothetical anyway. We may not have another or if we do it may be a girl.

Even William and George would be less obvious. Harry is so boring anyway. It's just the new Barry. :-p

What about William and Barry, that would be hilarious. For a girl, anything except Kate!
