With an F surname, 5 letters, a bird....not sure if it jars or not.

Does the surname rhyme with pinch?

Felicity sounds a bit tongue twistery with that surname. Florence and Evangeline flow a bit better.

bridgetsmummy · 25/10/2014 19:02

Felicity gets my vote. A very pretty name, I love it x

AnythingNotEverything · 25/10/2014 19:02

Evangeline. I love Felicity but it Squooch guessed your name right then it's a bit of a mouthful.

I'm a bit bored of Florence, sorry.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 25/10/2014 19:05

I thought of the same surname...

I think Evangeline sounds so cool with that name. Sounds like a character in a novel, a female spy or something! Haha.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 25/10/2014 19:07

I don't know why I wrote "Haha" at the end, because it makes it sound like I'm joking about the name being cool. Hmm

I'm not, it's just a nervous, introverted thing I do! Blush

Leviticus · 25/10/2014 19:07

Yes Felicity 'that bird' sounds like a cartoon character.

Evangeline is very nice though.

SeptemberBabies · 25/10/2014 19:10

Definitely not Felicity Angry

Just called my 4 week old beautiful daughter this absolutely wonderful, pretty, sassy name with some fantastic nickname choices.

As well is being the best girls name in the world. It is also not popular so there won't be dozens of Felicity's in DD class at school, a major factor in me choosing it.

So definitely don't choose Felicity :-P

baskingseals · 25/10/2014 19:11

Evangeline. It is simply beautiful.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 25/10/2014 19:13

But as Levi says, Felicity "Bird Surname" sounds a bit cartoony, or at best a character in a Marvel Comic. Like Peter Parker.

BlueStarsAtNight · 25/10/2014 19:18

Florence birdie sounds horrendous, it's a proper tongue twister. Felicity is also a bit much, but Evangeline sounds lovely.

YonicScrewdriver · 25/10/2014 19:23

Evangeline.

I was going to say that anyway, but definitely with your surname.

pantone363 · 25/10/2014 20:21

Yes rhymes with pinch Grin

Hmmm Evangeline then. Out of the 3 its the one DP isn't so keen on, will start the persuasion!

I would assume an Evangeline came from a very religious, proselytising Christian family.

DraaaamaghAlpacaaaagh · 25/10/2014 20:31

I adore Evangeline, and it works best with your surname.

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 25/10/2014 20:42

Haha September I have an 11 month old Felicity. Hope we don't live in the same place Smile. Felicity is definitely my vote. 11 months on I still completely adore it.

Leviticus · 25/10/2014 21:48

Ah September and winit I don't dislike Felicity - tis lovely! But it really won't go with the OP's surname.

Wordsaremything · 25/10/2014 21:53

Love felicity - very Enid blyton girls school.

Wordsaremything · 25/10/2014 21:55

But isn't felicity finch Ruth archer?

Oh noooooo!

TurquoiseDress · 26/10/2014 13:08

I love Evangeline!
The other two don't do anything much for me.

Choose the name you love and go for it!

A name that isn't too popular now may be top 10 in 5 years by the time they start school.

I don't see the point of picking a name so they'll be the only X in the class/school/whatever.
This can always change relatively quickly!

Letitgoletitgo · 26/10/2014 13:14

Evangeline is lovely but will she end up being yet another Evie? Don't know about where you live but there seems to be an awful lot of little Evie's around my way. Similar with Florence. Depends whether you wanted an unusual name - I think Felicity is lovely too, and fine with that surname!

CruCru · 26/10/2014 20:57

Felicity!

MarissaHodge · 27/10/2014 12:58

Felicity!

anyoldusernamewilldo · 27/10/2014 13:05

Really don't like Felicity at all. Evangeline is lovely but I don't think it works with your surname. Same with Florence, sorry.
