Final 8

Hi all :)

Baby girl due November 18th. Narrowed it down to these final 8

Helena
Eden
Vivienne
Violet
Mary-Kate
Bryony
Penelope/Penny
Miranda/Andrea/Andi- I really love Andi but I'm not sure if I prefer Andrea or Miranda. I do like Andrea but feel she will spend her whole life correcting people on the pronunciation (DH and I prefer An-dree-ya but we know Andray-ah is very popular) so we are leaning towards Miranda but this one is a but up in the air.

Middle name will be Kate unless of course we go for Mary-Kate.

Thanks in advance for any input :)

Violet. Love that name.

PillForgettingIdiot · 25/10/2014 01:38

I don't think you can use Mary-Kate without thinking of the Olsen twins. It is such an established hyphen name that is only attributed to her.

Fave is Violet.

Riverland · 25/10/2014 01:38

Violet Eden.
Definitely!

makingdoo · 25/10/2014 01:39

I like a few names off your list. I love Helena the most (I pronounce it Hel eeeena rather than Helen ah).
I like Andi too and would go with your pronounciation rather than Miranda.

Really not keen on Bryony or Mary-Kate.

Vivienne.

Love it.

Helena

I say it as Helen-ah and am not keen on the other ways though so if you say heh lay na or heh lee na I would change my mind in favour of violet

MummyBeerest · 25/10/2014 02:05

Helena Kate sounds beautiful.

RachaelAgnes · 25/10/2014 02:05

Violet Eden too! Beautiful!

Guin1 · 26/10/2014 05:16

In order:
Miranda
Penelope/Penny
Vivienne

Sophronia · 26/10/2014 13:44

Helena or Mary Kate.

TempsPerdu · 26/10/2014 16:36

Another vote for Helena Kate - it's timeless, beautiful and elegant. Also quite like Eden, but mn Kate needs a longer first name imo.

nowwearefour · 26/10/2014 16:40

Violet

Muskey · 26/10/2014 16:49

I like Mary Kate and violet. I also like Vivienne but where I come from in Wales it was used as a boys name although I haven't heard of many young Vivienne's who are boys

Leeds2 · 26/10/2014 16:53

Helena or Vivienne.

Dislike Mary-Kate and Eden.

MehsMum · 26/10/2014 16:57

Helena (Helen-ah)
Violet
Mary (not Mary-Kate)

Not sure Violet Kate works, though: if you said it fast it might sound like Violent Gate Smile

ashesandfire · 27/10/2014 18:08

Miranda Kate is lovely.

fancyacupoftea · 27/10/2014 21:03

Violet but not Violet Kate
