Thoughts on Isabella?

Just wondering what the consensus is on Isabella? Do you know many/is it fairly popular where you are?

I have a feeling it was quite popular a few years ago but I have never actually come across any little Isabella's and it is lower in last years stats than I thought so I am not sure how popular it actually is.

I think it is a pretty name but I do feel it is quite popular at the moment, know of two Isabella's off the top of my head, but they are 4 years old.

Very popular name for babies born between about 2005-10, but there are far more called Sophie and Eve (and variants) these days.

Pretty name. Quite common but I still like it.

OfficeNewGirl · 24/10/2014 20:33

Very over used

But i really like it

PillForgettingIdiot · 24/10/2014 20:34

It is remarkably average

I did think it has been fairly popular recently, but was surprised to see it lower than I thought in last years stats. I am a teacher and have never come across one at school yet, but it if is mainly 4-5 year olds then I guess there will be many of them appearing in my classroom in the next few years!

Thanks, useful thoughts Smile.

I love that name, had our last 2 dcs been girls we would have chosen Isabella 1st & poppy 2nd

I work at a girls primary and there's at least 2 Issy/izzy/Isobel/Isabelle s in each class. I like it though.

Other very popular names are:
Emma
Charlotte
Evie/Eva/Ava
Freya

More unusual ones I like are:
Thea
Hebe
Verity
Esme
Megan
Meg (Margaret)
Celia
