Just wondering if anyone knows what / if there is a french nickname for Emmanuel. We love the name, but it's a bit of a mouthful for a little person!

It's normally Manny isn't it at least in this country

That's what we thought. Hoping there was perhaps another option!

I know an Emmanuel who is Noa. If that helps.

Bananice · 24/10/2014 12:18

It's normally shortened to " Manu " as a nickname. Lovely name!

GreatAuntDinah · 24/10/2014 13:14

Yep French shortening is Manu.

redstrawberrypie · 24/10/2014 13:16

I know an Italian who shortens it to Manu

sooperdooper · 24/10/2014 13:16

Guess you could shorten it to Emmy?

WittgensteinsBunny · 24/10/2014 14:10

DD is elodie so I'm not sure about Emmy and I'm not keen on the name Noa.

Manu is lovely. However, I don't think it'll work without a beautiful french accent. Damn! Back to the drawing board :(

I've known three Manu's. In the UK. Not French. Two were Indian. It'll be fine.

Amos instead? Samuel?
