I've seen Beatty and Beattie as nicknames for Beatrice but am unsure how to pronounce them.

Would you say Bee-tty as in Warren Beatty? Or like Betty?

Beety

BonaDea · 18/10/2014 13:49

I prefer Bea (bee)

ElephantsAndMiasmas · 18/10/2014 13:52

I'd say Beety. Not sure how nice is it though. People like the shortening Bea but there's always the risk people will think she's called B. Bibi is quite sweet. Or Trish of course Grin

FishWithABicycle · 18/10/2014 13:53

Beatty or Beattie would be pronounced Bee-Tee but I also prefer Bea (pronounced Bee)

SauvignonBlanche · 18/10/2014 13:53

DN is Bea.

The one clamped to by boob at the moment is Bea to us and Bumble to her uncle (can't see this sticking!). I do know another one who is Betty though.
