I love Claudia, although someone will post in a minute I don't like the meaning.

I don't like the other two names but if they are family names, they could be used for middle names.

Sorry, but I don't like any of the boys names.

Tess and Martha are lovely names.

SurelyTemple · 13/10/2014 10:08

I love Claudia and Donald. I know I used to know the meaning of Claudia but I've forgotten its meaning (several times). I like Timothy as well. Leonard is ok. I prefer just Leo. Gabriel is ok.

Not a fan of Dorothy at all. It's not ready to come back yet. Dora is dreadful. Audrey, well, it's ok. It's a strong name, which I like.

WowserBowser · 13/10/2014 10:14

I love Audrey. Love love love it.

Like Claudia, Dorothy and Gabriel.

Don't like Donald, Timothy or Leonard.

Theas18 · 13/10/2014 10:15

Like them all!

Dorothy is great with Dolly Dotty Dot or Dorrie as NN . Fits my bill of as " do anything name" from ballerina to high court judge to Mechanic.

Claudia is nice but means IIRC limping.

Audrey - fine. Maybe a bit " dated" but it'll work fine and noone will worry after the first meeting.

The boys names are lovely. The world needs more wee Donalds. It's sweet. Timm Timmy Timothy - classic, ditto Len Lenny Leonard.

They go fine with the other names too,

Sorry OP no help, it's a great selection and, dare I say it you are looking to name an an adult as well as baby- many posts here don't seem to get that point, but you do.

wigglesrock · 13/10/2014 11:00

Claudia and Audrey are absolutely lovely. Dorothy is a bit blah, it's alright.

I love Gabriel, it's a beautiful name, I don't like the other boys names.

babyblabber · 13/10/2014 11:00

Claudia or Leonard would be my vote

squoosh · 13/10/2014 11:19

Audrey - not keen
Claudia - love
Dorothy - quite like Dot

Gabriel - love
Donald - hate
Timothy - really hate
Leonard - Lenny is a cool nickname

Sophronia · 13/10/2014 11:44

Claudia or Dorothy, and Leonard or Donald.

grufallosfriend · 13/10/2014 12:13

Dorothy and Leonard! Great names.

itsnothingoriginal · 13/10/2014 12:57

Love all your girl names! Claudia would be my fave at a push but Audrey and Dorothy are both fab.

Timothy is a great name for a boy - very underused in my opinion. Not personally so keen on your other boy names but like that they are all more unusual choices.. nice to see something different these days!

Legionofboom · 13/10/2014 13:49

Audrey - Don't like this. Feels dated and not in a good way.
Claudia - OK. I can't get excited about it but it's not awful either.
Dorothy - Like this one. Dot is nice too.

Gabriel - Love this, only downside is it seems very popular now. Love Gabe too.
Donald - Don't like this either, it feels similar to Audrey.
Timothy - Absolutely hate this with a passion.
Leonard - Like and I also like Leo and Lenny.

birdofthenorth · 14/10/2014 12:16

Thanks all. Bit if a mix of views! Overnight DH has declared a firm boys favourite from our list. I am favouring Audrey for a girl atm (but suspecting 20 week scan will reveal a boy in a couple of weeks!)

Ooh, can I just add Emmeline as a ossicle girls name? Been put off it in previous pregnancies due to the likelihood of it being constantly mistaken for Emily, but wdyt?

You're naming the bones in your ear? Wink

birdofthenorth · 14/10/2014 12:26

Whoops random typo! Just as a regular girl's name!

Audrey - It's a bit old ladyish, but the Hepburn association takes it up a notch. Are there some good nns?
Claudia - Fabulous! Glam yet not ott.
Dorothy - Lacks the gravitas of the other options

Gabriel - Very nice
Donald - Duck
Timothy - Very nice - I'd have this on our list except we know an idiot called Tim.
Leonard - I love Leo, not so sure about Leonard, but if it has family connections and would be shortened then that's nice.

bringbackfonzi · 14/10/2014 18:13

Girls' names - I really like them all. Don't like the boys' names as much. Donald could be cute. Timothy I hate, sorry.
