Samuel Noah or Miriam Sarah?

DS1 has an OT name, not used much by kids these days. The only problem is that when combined with Samuel it makes the names of a top political couple. Is that an issue? We are lefties and I love Samuel!

I really like them (noah is a lovely name but just too popular for me- but no big deal as a middle name) but I have never met a Samuel who isn't called Sam- so make sure you like the nickname sam before going forward:)

I love Sam. Tbh we were going to put Samuel on the birth certificate but generally call him Sam. Is the political link a problem?

Sam is great, but I love Miriam even more so I hope you have a girl! ('Cos it's all about me )

Are we talking David and Sam? If so, don't worry - by the time your kids are at school they will be a distant memory.

Without being stupid are we talking Sam and David cameron? I think only infamous couple names are to be avoided, like bonnie and Clyde. Also, siblings only live together and have their names associated together for a short time. Noone knows my sisters name, but people think my name is dead cute next to

Sam and Noah, on the other hand, are quite trendy and less classic imo.

I would put Samuel on the BC and use Sam if you like as a nn. Your Sam isn't a girl so no political link with David, or Dave imo (if that's what you are hinting as ).
