...but I am caught up in 16 years of wanting to ttc and finally being able to and wanting to talk to someone other than my partner about these things!

So, Liberty. For our daughter, not son, obviously Wink what are your first and honest thoughts? Middle names are chosen but with just Liberty, no other info, what do you think?

SilentBob We have the same taste in names. I also have a Bethany, my DD1 (18) Smile

Funnily enough dd has been asked if she is French descent but never American. When we travel in America they loved the name massively, everyone we met, but it's not used as a name much there at all.

devoncreamtea · 08/10/2014 08:57

It's lovely - I know a couple of early teens with this name and they love it too. Libby is so sweet for a tiddler as well.

Congratulations, what a journey you've had!

I like Liberty. I don't think it sounds too American, I 'm not sure I've heard of any American Liberties, only Liberty Ross (who is british)

Only1scoop · 08/10/2014 18:50

Like it and Libby is a nice shortie

Rascalls3 · 18/10/2014 01:39

We chose Libby for our daughter back in the 1990s. My only regret is that we didn't choose Liberty and shorten it. Over the years I have often lengthened it to Liberty especially when she needs telling offGrin

I love Ito.

It's a very strong phoenix girls name,

Lovely I know a gorgeous 8 year old Liberty known as Libby :)

Tranquilitybaby · 18/10/2014 23:08

I have a pre teen Liberty and I still adore it. Lots of her friends shorten it to Libby.

Yika · 19/10/2014 08:43

I like it a lot.

My Dd 14 is Liberty, we have never met another & she is very pleased to be unique. She's lives unto her name 100%!!! I still love it. Congratulations OP.
