The boy name equivalent to Alice

Alice is DDs middle name, picked in the main due to its literary connection, and as a traditional alternative to her "quirkier" first name (again, from childrens literature).

We are expecting a son this month and have again selected a rare first name, no literary connection this time, and I would like something quite traditional for his middle name.

The first name will be Travis, and our surname is long and begins with a C, however the first and middle name dont need to "flow" necessarily as we rarely use DDs first and middle name together.

So.......a boy Alice style name. If that makes sense.

Ahhh I have two very close (but they dont know each other) friends who want to use Henry for their sons so I dont want to steal it Grin

I really like Lawrence, but then initials will be TLC - does that matter?

Robin?

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/10/2014 21:38

Hmm...I really liked Robyn for a girl but not keen on it as a boys name.

Im due around Hallowe'en so if he arrives on the 31st I may be tempted by something vaguely related.

Edmund. I just love he name for some reason (possibly from rereading the C S Lewis books over and over again as a child)

Antoniabegonia · 01/10/2014 21:49

Joseph

Not 'popular' like Henry and George but still quite traditional.

Peter Pan

Edmund from the Chronicles of Narnia

I love Travis.DC went to nursery with a Travis; his parents were both South African and neither were lookers but oh boy was this little boy a stunner; think he was swapped at birth!
It is such a strong yet wonderfully old fashioned name.

BlueBrightBlue · 01/10/2014 22:05

Perkins?

MairzyDoats · 01/10/2014 22:06

Robert was the first name that came to my mind, plus it has several literary connections. Plus it's lovely.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 01/10/2014 22:10
