Short baby names

I have just found out i'm expecting #3 (if this one sticks) and am already thinking about baby names.

I have a long surname starting with W so w first names are out.

My ds and dd both have 4 letter 2 syllable names. I would like to stick with short names as my name has 28 letters in total.

I also prefer slightly more unusual names although my ds is now top 20 it wasnt when he was born and dd's is not in top 100. (Both biblical by chance, dont need to stick to this)

Thank you

I really like the sometimes shortening to Nathan-Nate and gabe-sometimes a shortening of Gabriel but as full names

girlandboy · 26/09/2014 15:41

My DH's name is Saul which is quite unusual. He's personally never met anyone else with the same name, only a labrador Smile

jazzyjenbo · 26/09/2014 16:39

I like ivy, jude, nate and Saul is now top of list. Great names coming through. Lots of the names we already hav in the family or close friends.. John, paul, kate, rory, clio

jazzyjenbo · 26/09/2014 18:37

5 letters is fine Wink just dont want much longer as surname is 10letters.

Hadnt thought of anya, quiet like that and i love cora however i saw a 'rising names of 2014' list the other day and cora is in 5th place... Downton has alot to answer for.

If it helps middle names are likely to be boy..edward girl..mabel (family names)
