Ok, so we have only one boys name that we agree on - but this means the initials will be RC (arsey?!?!) He will have a middle name, probably RAC - does this matter? Do you ever really use just your first and last initial? Am I overthinking this??

Please help!

My dgf had the initials RAC. Never caused him any problems. :)

It's fine. RC/Arsey is too convoluted.

RAC - so what? It's not a particularly controversial organisation is it? It's fine.

Good! I'm not worried about RAC, but was concerned about Arsey, maybe because my DB's initials spell a word and my parents didn't notice until he was at school......

RC to me would = Roman Catholic, like an abbreviation used in monitoring forms sometimes.

I know someone with the initials RC and sometimes I do think "arsey" but that's only cuz I don't like him Grin

I lolled when you pointed it out, but it doesn't bother me and I wouldn't mention it more than once if I actually noticed, if at all.

RC is Remote Controlled to me. And the emphasis is different so I didn't even notice 'arsey'.

I think the only initials you really have to worry about are things like Catherine Olivia Cook or David Idris King.

One of my favourite names would lead to the initials EW, and I'm not bothered. The only time I have ever used my initials are signing a FEW forms and one time in school when we made something and had to put our names on using as little space as possible to prevent spoiling it.
