My husband prefers the more popular ones but I'm keen to pick a name that isn't in top twenty...

I love Angus, Patrick and Guy.

Like William too. Henry's not my cup of tea but not a bad name.

Thomas and Henry both good names you can't go wrong with. Personally do t like nn tom. Not keen on guy. Patrick ok but kind of Celtic. Dated?

My order would be:
William
Thomas

Big gap then Patrick.

Bigger gap then Angus (don't like it much though tbh) and Henry.

Huge gap before Guy (hate thus, sorry).

Angus. Great name, and like you, I prefer to avoid top 20 - there are so many Williams and Thomases around.

Thanks all. Forgot to say Hugh is on the list too. I'm a bit put off it though cos it's a "Hugh darling, come and eat your organic breadsticks and sun-blushed tomato hummous" kind of name...

I love Angus so much. It was going to be what I named my child but then SIL had her boy.

I like Thomas and William the best.

Don't like Patrick, but it works as a traditional name.

Don't like Guy at all. Always thought it's like calling a boy 'Boy'. Gaius is nice alternative.

I'd suggest Patrick or Henry. Both are traditional names but they are not quite as popular as William and Henry.
