I'm pregnant with dc2 - I'm 11 weeks pregnant (early days!) and we won't be finding out the sex of the baby. We have a dd called Elodie and if baby #2 is a girl, she'll be Alexa.

We're struggling with boys names, we have a list of likes but nothing "perfect" yet. Middle name will probably be Montgomery. On the "like" list:

Jude
Sebastian
Logan
Quentin
Kurt
Reuben

Any other suggestions we might like and hopefully love?

I like Rueben, think Sebastian coupled with Montgomery would be a mouthful. What about:

Orestes
Arlo
Hugo
Jago
Rufus
Rory/Rhuardi

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 02/09/2014 15:26

Elodie is a lovely name. As you like Alexa for a DD would you consider Alex(ander) for a DS?

Austin
Dominic
Francis
Grayson
Nicholas
Oscar
Patrick

WittgensteinsBunny · 02/09/2014 15:47

Can't have Alex for a boy as a very close friend's son is called Alex.

Love Rufus and Arlo, but already know little boys with these names :(

I like Grayson, I had that on DD's list and had forgotten. Added to my list.

Funny you should say Reuben, as that's my favourite too!

If you like Alex but can't use it, what about Xander?

WittgensteinsBunny · 02/09/2014 18:37

Ooh, great suggestion. Sadly it doesn't work with our surname.

Two more

Clayton
Lucian

Elodie is lovely and I think Quentin would go really well!
Also like Reuben and Sebastian.

itsnothingoriginal · 02/09/2014 21:36

Jude- love this
Sebastian - great and goes well with your DD s name but not with your mn
Logan - not keen
Quentin - no
Kurt - no
Reuben - lovely and also goes very well with Elodie!

Like Austin as already suggested and would throw in Gilbert and Ralph too..

minniemaus · 02/09/2014 21:53

Love Quentin and Sebastian and think both go well with Elodie.

DramaAlpaca · 02/09/2014 21:56

I like Jude and Reuben from your list to go with Elodie.

crazylady321 · 02/09/2014 22:36

I think Jude Montgomery sounds the nicest together

minniemaus · 02/09/2014 22:37

I would focus on the first name & surname combo, you so rarely use your middle name.

BlueChampagne · 03/09/2014 14:10

I like Kurt and Jude. How about Carl or Conrad?

sonniebonnie · 03/09/2014 14:15

I like Quentin from your list and like the suggestions of Arlo and Rufus.

Sebastian seems too long not to be shortened and its nicknames (Seb, Basty) aren't nice at all imo. Jude sounds very feminine to my ears. Logan and Kurt aren't that nice imo.

PomPomPingPong · 03/09/2014 14:17

Alton

Bumpngrind85 · 03/09/2014 20:05

I'm having a girl but we liked several boys names:

Rudy
Walter
Orson
Ted
Bodhi

sonniebonnie · 07/09/2014 10:09

How about using Monty as his first name? That's cute/cool imo.

WittgensteinsBunny · 07/09/2014 20:24

Love Monty but there are so many Monty's where we live. Most families with more than one boy seem to have a Freddie, Monty, Theo, Henry... That's why we're using Montgomery as a middle name (it has sentimental value to both of us).

There are some great suggestions above but most belonging to friends' sons!

In fact, are you all secretly my friends or from the village we live in Wink!

We've added Thom to our list as something solid and sensible.

Alastair

Angelto5 · 15/09/2014 14:43

Michael goes well with MontgomerySmile
Jude is also a lovely name.

poppydaisy · 15/09/2014 16:06

Marcus

From your list I like Reuben and Quentin best.

grufallosfriend · 18/09/2014 10:14

Rufus?

DogCalledRudis · 18/09/2014 13:55

Francis nn Frank

hellokitty123 · 19/09/2014 15:01

I like Quentin and Sebastian from your op list.

Also, how about Magnus, Arthur, Dylan or Rowan?
