DP has changed his mind

We've had a name pretty much decided for our little man since May. With two weeks to go DP has decided he's no longer sure if it's the one. He's not being very good at suggesting alternatives either & as I still love it I'm struggling to think of any too. The name we had chosen is Rufus. Any suggestions? Surname begins with B & is three syllables so can't really use any B names.

How maddening. Well, he might change his mind again to prefer Rufus, but in the meantime, how about

Asher
Jago
Rhys
Roscoe
and for good measure, Viggo.

Those will probably make him think twice about rejecting Rufus.

Thanks for the suggestions. Rory is already in my shortlist and Reuben is on his. I've added Angus, like the nn Gus. I like Xavier but when I suggested it last night I got are we French?!? It's so frustrating to be having to think of names again at this late stage, particularly when DP is being so fussy!

XANDER is short for Alexander. Fine as a name in its own right, but not with a Z, please!
