Baby no name needs a name

So despite knowing baby would be a girl for months she has arrived nameless. Baby won't tell me her name and the facts I have learned about her so far are that she likes eating and pooing but feels sleep is beneath her. This leaves me no further forward .....

(Long) short list at the mo is:
Louisa
Olivia (liv?)
Victoria
Cora
Julia
Juliette
Sophie
Emma
Cassandra (Cassie)
Rose
Emily
Evelyn (Eve)
Katherine
Amelia (Amy?)

They are all really pretty names! I like Louisa, Victoria or Julia. If I had to pick one of them I would pick Louisa!

Congratulations on your new baby! Thanks

Moomaloo · 27/08/2014 07:29

I like Cora. Congratulations btw!

nilbyname · 27/08/2014 07:31

Cora

Alternatives could be-
Aurelia(Ellie)
Tabitha
Charlotte (lottie)

picnicbasketcase · 27/08/2014 07:33

I like all of the list so that's no help. I think Louisa is my favourite though. Love Sophie and Olivia too but I think they're very very popular, don't know whether that would bother you.

Ikeameatballs · 27/08/2014 07:36

Louisa
Julia
Emma
Rose
Katherine

Are my favourites from that list.

Also like:

Edith (Edie)
Susannah (Susie)
Harriet (Hattie)

I'm so glad people like them. I had started to think were all awful. Dh prefers Sophie, Emma, Emily but the popularity bothers me as we already have a child with a really common name.

Allalonenow · 27/08/2014 08:17

They are all pretty names, but I like Juliette and Olivia the most and Cora the least.
Eve and Sophie are hugely popular ATM.

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 27/08/2014 08:31

All such gorgeous names, my favourites are Louisa, Victoria and Cora. Least favourite would be Juliette.

mummybare · 27/08/2014 08:38

Lovely names. I particularly like Olivia, Juliet (spelt this way), Cassandra and Emily.

Congratulations :)

LadyWithLapdog · 27/08/2014 08:41

Congratulations! I like Louisa, Emma, Julia.

wigglesrock · 27/08/2014 08:51

Congratulations Brew, I like Juliet and I have a Liv, so I'm slightly biased.

ralinax294 · 27/08/2014 09:11

ralinax294 · 27/08/2014 09:12

CarriMarie · 27/08/2014 11:02

I like Juliet best, or Louisa but prefer Eloise. Olivia with nn Livi is nice too.

Mamami · 27/08/2014 11:30

All really pretty. I have some of these on my list.

I like Sophie, Cora, Emily and Juliette.

Castlemilk · 27/08/2014 11:33

Juliette is brilliant. What's your other DD's name? Does it fit with that?

Second choice would be Cassandra, and love Sophie although it is so popular.

BaronessBomburst · 27/08/2014 11:36

I like Louisa and Juliette.

Nocturne123 · 27/08/2014 11:36

Sophie, Louisa or Emily.

Legionofboom · 27/08/2014 11:55

Congratulations Thanks

That is a lovely list of names.

I like Louisa, Juliette, and Katherine best.

manicinsomniac · 27/08/2014 12:12

Louisa - I'm not overly keen although I don't know why. Maybe the 'loo' sound
Olivia - quite like it (though I don't like Liv) Livia is pretty.
Victoria - like it and it seems quite unusual now. Don't like Vicky though
Cora - It's ok. I think Cara is much prettier
Julia - quite like it
Juliette - love it. One of my favourite names.
Sophie - like it a lot
Emma - I used to think it was boring but it's growing on me. Pretty and simple.
Cassandra - really like it. Cassie is sweet too. Also like Cassidy and Cassia
Rose - simple and elegant. I like it. Rosie would be a cute nn
Emily - quite like it
Evelyn - like it but not keen on Eve. I think Evie is a nicer nn
Katherine - really like it
Amelia (Amy) - don't like Amelia much but really like Amy. I think it's more a name in its own right than a short for Amelia.

I would go for Juliette followed by Amy, Cassandra and Katherine.

Sophronia · 27/08/2014 14:58

Louisa, Julia, Cassandra or Katherine. All classic and beautiful but not overly popular.

If popularity bothers you then you should be aware of where your choices rates in terms of how many children were born with that name last year as some of them are even more popular on your list!:

Amelia - 1st
Olivia - 2nd
Emily - 3rd
Sophie - 9th
Evelyn - 45th
Emma -55th
Rose - 68th
Julia - 82nd
Victoria - 88th
Katherine - 230th
Louisa - 304th
Cora - 315th
Juliette - 519th
Cassandra - 1148th
